The N8480 Series power sensors are thermocouple solutions for high-precision RF power measurement, with a frequency range from 100 kHz to 50 GHz. The new sensors integrate EEPROM functionality, eliminating the step of manually entering calibration factors at each frequency point, thus simplifying the calibration process.
The N8480 power sensors feature higher accuracy, outstanding SWR, unrivaled power linearity (<1%) and best-in-class repeatability, enabling more efficient testing and reduced manufacturing costs.
In addition, the N8480 extends the lower power level down to -35dBm, delivering the widest dynamic range among thermocouple power measurement solutions: 55 dB (for a single-sensor solution) and 79 dB (for a multi-sensor solution), respectively.

All N8480 sensors are designed to be backward compatible with EPM (E4418B/19B), EPM-P (E4416A/17A) and P Series (N1911A/12A) power meters, minimizing the need for recoding and reinvestment. N8480 sensors are not compatible with the following instruments: Keysight 43x, E1416A, N8262A power meters, 5314x microwave counters and E7495x base station testers.
