Keysight E8257D is a fully synthesized signal generator with high output power, low phase noise and powerful modulation capabilities. Unless otherwise stated, these specifications are warranted when the instrument operates within the temperature range of 0 to 55 °C after 45 minutes of warm-up. Supplementary characteristics (marked as typical, nominal or measured values) provide additional (non-warranted) information at 25 °C, which may be helpful for product application.


It features metrology-grade frequency and level accuracy, as well as excellent distortion and spurious performance, capable of meeting the most stringent test requirements


Available across a wide frequency range: models with 13, 20, 31.8, 40, 50 and 67 GHz maximum frequency are offered (extendable to 1.1 THz via a frequency extender)


With optional configurations, it can deliver output power up to 1 W (+30 dBm), enabling testing of high-power devices and compensating for power loss in the test system


It delivers extremely low phase noise: -91 dBc/Hz at 100 Hz offset, -126 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset (at 10 GHz), meeting the requirements of Doppler radar, ADC and receiver blocking tests
